Jason Voorhees

Jason Voorhees, the Villain behind the mask - Friday the 13th

In film “Friday the 13th” (Sean S. Cunningham, 1980), which launched one of the most successful film franchise in horror history and US Cinema, is the fictional birthplace of Jason Voorhees.
“Kill, kill, kill!” whispers at the dark night in the woods nearby Crystal Lake and that’s exactly what Jason Voorhees does. Jason Vorhees is the machete - wielding - unstoppable villain in Friday the 13th.

The fictional character Jason Vorhees was created by the screenwriter of Friday the 13th, Victor Miller and the director and Producer of the legendary film Sean S. Cunningham. As the film director said during at his interviews “Jason grew out of basic things that would scare me as a little kid I was sure there was somebody lurking under the bed and I was afraid to move”.

Actually, in oroginal film, Friday the 13th Jason is not a murderer, his fictional mother Pamela Voorhees kills teenagers who are working for the re-opening of the Crystal Lake Camp. Pamela Voorhees by killing wants to prevent the opening of the Crystal Lake Camp, because her only child Jason Voorhees, drowned in the shadow waters of the lake because two teenager members of the staff who were supposed to watch him were having sex. The only survival is a girl, as a result “Friday the 13th”  is a slasher, final girl and calander horror film.

Jason Voorhees an unforgettable fictional character

Friday the 13th Part (II) - (Steve Miner, 1981) Jason is fully grown and is back to take revenge and kill teenager intruders who work to re open the Camp. Jason wears a burlap bag with eye - holes.

In Friday the 13th Part 3 3-D (Steve Miner, 1982) Jason takes a hockey mask from a victim and replace his previous handmade mask. Actually, in Friday the 13th Part 3 : 3- D Jason is transformed from a scrawny psycopath sparting a burlap baq with eye - holes into a brawny goon wearing the hockey mask that audience have came to know and to love.

In Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Joseph Zito, 1984) Jason’s body is taken to the marque where a couple’s petting session aggravates him back to life for another slaughter festival.
